Stripey, the emu chick, has been a fixture on Australian bookshelves for 21 years. Wendy Binks – the Western Australian author and artist behind the award-winning, best-selling book Where's Stripey? This is her only market appearance this holiday season; while the stall has been at Freo Markets for over 20 years, it is rare to find Wendy staffing it herself.
