Fremantle Markets, Roof Space Exhibition

Last days to register your school, for the chance to win up to $1000 in cash prizes!

Based on the recent hugely successful exhibition, ‘Bloom’, created by local primary school students, a new roof space exhibition will be launched in early April 2020, running until mid- May, to coincide with the world-renowned Fremantle Street Arts Festival, taking place between the 10th and 13th of April. The Festival is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors!

This time, students are asked to make a collection of ‘Puppets’, made from recycled or reusable materials, to hang in the roof space. Only a handful of exhibition places are left, so don’t delay your registration by clicking here now! Download Registation, or call 0401537447.

Your ‘Puppets’ need to be delivered to the Markets by Monday 30th March. Each schools’ contribution will be hung from a recycled timber frame, measuring 1.8 metres by 1.8 metres, with a banner containing the school’s name, which will be supplied by the Markets.

All of us have plastic milk bottles, juice containers and other everyday consumable packaging at home, which could be used to create the ‘puppets’. REmida Perth Inc. can also help, providing a myriad of reusable materials https://www.remidawa.com

Supported by the WA State Government, REmida has created two community-based, self-sustaining, plastic recycling hubs designed to reuse domestic plastic waste. They also act as a great creative resource for schools and individuals who want to create their own art, from recycled and reused materials. The REUSE store at Freo is another great source of reusable materials, for all sorts of craft projects.

Congratulations again to all the entrants of our last exhibition who contributed some incredible works of art, that were much admired by our visitors over Summer!
