About
Helen Ansell is an internationally renowned artist, celebrated for her bold original acrylic paintings that celebrate the diversity of Western Australia's native plants and wildlife. Her works have garnered acclaim both locally and globally for their bold use of colour and her focus on the unique and sometimes overlooked flowers and wildlife from WA. It was this formative experience that planted the seeds for Helen’s style of art. After living and exhibiting her work overseas in Scotland, Helen returned to Australia with fresh eyes and has been painting the wildflowers of WA ever since. She resides with her family in the regional Western Australian town of Mullewa where she paints the flora and fauna of her region and runs her own studio gallery focused on welcoming visitors to the region during wildflower season.
