We love having West Oz Wildlife, one of Perth’s leading wildlife petting zoos, at Fremantle Markets. They provide a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with native Australian animals such as koalas, snakes, dingoes and wombats. You can usually only glimpse such animals amidst big crowds in larger reserves or zoos. Our Wildlife Zoo offers a more intimate approach, allowing both children and adults to experience these animals in a smaller and more relaxed setting. Entry by Gold Coin Donation. There is usually a bevy of gushing sighs around our Baby Animal Farm in the Market Lane. These adorable animals capture everyone’s heart. Come and cuddle a lovely selection of cute animals, including chickens, ducklings, bunnies, guinea pigs, lambs, kid goats, piglets and, depending upon availability, a calf, alpaca, or miniature horse. The Market Fairies appear every Saturday from 10am till 1pm, and every Sunday from 11am till 2pm, distributing random acts of kindness, along with face painting and balloon twisting for the little ones.

Errol the Emu is a little friendlier than most other emu's. At 8ft high, and with his master rider on board, Errol loves meeting people and will break into a gallop to get to someone he fancies for a bit of a peck, head rub or stare-down. Great interactive fun for all ages.
