How to Get Here

By Train

Catch the train form Perth Central Station to Fremantle. The trip takes less than half an hour. The Fremantle Markets are only a short stroll from the Fremantle Railway Station.

By Bus

Transperth buses will take you to Fremantle leaving from various stands in St Georges Terrace via Stirling Highway or the bus port via Canning Highway.

By Ferry

Catch a ferry from the Barrack Street Jetty in Perth and enjoy the sights from the Swan River as you cruise to Fremantle.

Getting around Fremantle 

Fremantle is one of the easiest cities in the world to explore by foot, bicycle or scooter. All leading attractions are located within close proximity and the free Fremantle CAT bus completes regular cicuits around the city of Fremantle stopping at popular places of interest and offering easy access to major attractions and venues.

A great way for visitors to get around is to take the Fremantle Tram Tour which completes regular circuits around the city and includes an educational commentary. Alternatively, you can even hire a bike from the Fremantle Visitor Centre.

You need only spend a day in Fremantle to find yourself falling in love with this colourful port city - it is impossible to avoid getting caught up in its charm. There is an an excellent selection of accommodation options ranging from friendly backpackers to luxurious hotels, if you choose to stay a few nights.
